Photo Share is a small app for sharing photos and text between your own devices and people you invite. It is run by Clement Labonne.
What is stored
- Your account: the name, email address and profile picture from the Google or Apple account you sign in with, and whether your account has been approved.
- What you share: photos, messages, notes and todo items you add to a project. Photos are re-encoded on your device before upload, which removes location and other metadata.
- Expenses: the amounts, dates, categories and descriptions of expenses you enter in a project, with the receipts you attach (photos, re-encoded the same way, or PDF files), and which payment method paid. Payment methods are names you choose, such as “Visa ••4821”; the app never asks for or stores card numbers.
- Your settings: your preferred currency and the names of your payment methods, which the members of your projects can see.
Who can see it
Content in a project is visible only to that project's members. The app's administrator is a member of every project. Nothing is sold, used for advertising, or shared with third parties.
Where it is stored
Data is stored with Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage), which processes it on our behalf.
To show amounts in your currency, the app downloads a table of exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API about once a week. Only that request is sent: nothing about you or your expenses.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete my account. To have content you shared removed as well, email clementlabonne7@gmail.com.
